Something to think about...

You ever notice when you have a "break through" or a "ah ha" moment it's almost always something you've been told several times by many different people throughout different stages of your life?

Take a minute and think about it. It's almost always true.

Could it be for these messages to really sink in we have to be told multiple times? Maybe it's simply just how it's conveyed.

With this in mind don't get frustrated if you offer advice and it's ignored. If you really care about the person and want to help remember this...

If we all need to hear things 10 times (as an example) before really "getting it", you added ONE notch when you offered your advice. Just because it wasn't the 10th notch - the tipping point - doesn't make it any less important. It took 9 other notches to get to the 10th. Without them the 10th never happens.

It's not always about being the person who tips the scales but being the person who helps build the foundation for it to happen.
