COACH

The topic for today's Table Talk is priorities. Dave responds to a question by instagram user joeymoore51: How do you deal with distractions (via family, work, school, etc.) to make sure you are consistently getting to the gym and getting quality training sessions?

Dave's answer begins with more questions. What are you trying to accomplish with the training? What are your priorities for the day? The week? The month? The year? You need to ask these questions.

If you're trying to be the best powerlifter or athlete that you can be, training is going to have to rank really high on your priority list. If it ranks that high, it is going to have to be scheduled before everything else. This means that every other part of your week is going to fall in line around your training. Training gets scheduled first, and everything else fills the gaps. This is what you have to do if you want to be the best.
