10/20- Squats w/chains with video and an explanation as to why I’m so be...
Every day I make an attempt to update my training log in-between clients at Orlando Barbell
10/17- Deadlifts
I still hope to one day have the hip mobility needed to get in a more ideal sumo pulling position.
10/13- Shoulder Rehab
This routine is definitely something I need to stick with which should help get my shoulder back to “normal” and prevent any potential injuries.
10/12- Reverse Band Squats w/video
I’m trying to get my CNS (and upper back, and well my whole body) to gradually adapt to the heavier weight again.
10/10- Deadlifts w/video
This was another good training session. Things seem to be moving in the right direction again.
10/5- Benchin
Although my autoimmune associated joint pain is continuing to subside I still have a decent amount in my shoulders, elbows, and wrists while benching.
10/2- Deadlifts and Accessory w/videos
If you have shoulder issues and difficulty squatting the OBB Power Handles are a great, relatively inexpensive, option.
9/27- Upper Accessory (Bis and Tris)
I’ve figured myself out well enough to know that I’m not going to do cardio on a regular basis.
9/25- Deadlifts w/video
The extreme joint pain I've had for the last couple of years seems to finally be subsiding.
9/20- Upper Pulling Accessory
I've tried to focus my accessory work on my upper back to help alleviate some of the shoulder discomfort I've been having.
9/19- Upper Accessory w/video of another innovative exercise w/the OBB P...
I designed the Power Handles as a way to reduce stress on the shoulders while squatting but there are endless options for both exercises with them.
9/18- Deadlifts w/video
Everything went well today. My strength seems to be gradually increasing again.
9/5- Raw Deadlifts w/video
As I’m sure you’ve seen, we had a powerful Hurricane plow through us early this week.
8/31- Upper Accessory
My severe elbow and shoulder joint pain were acting up again, so I opted to do high rep DBs to increase bloodflow which seems to help.
8/30- Raw Squats
I’m trying to catch up some on my training log before we potentially lose power when Irma hits.
8/29- Raw Bench and treating inflammation
I have been competitively powerlifting for over 20 years. Within that time I have competed raw, single ply and multi ply. I hold the highest all time total of 1930 at 148, the third highest total of 2045 at 165 and have broken over 35 world records, over 25 of which I still hold. Through […]
8/28- Raw Deadlifts w/video
It’s been just about 4 weeks since my hernia surgery and recovery is going well.
8/24- Raw Squats
I’m hoping to cycle through increasing by about 50 lbs and go down a rep each week for as long as I can
8/22- Bench Accessory
I attempted to flat bench again but the strain on my hernia was still too much.
8/18- Mostly Lower Accessory
I was tired of leg pressing and, even though it was just over two weeks post bilateral hernia surgery, I decided to give some light squats a try.
CECO Superheroes Deadlift Challenge
Thank you again to everyone who participated and donated. It was a great event for a great cause!
8/16- Upper Accessory- Pressing
I attempted to flat bench, but it put too much strain on the hernia surgery area,
8/15- First day back post hernia surgery- Back and Bis
I limited the movements to sitting options so that it would place less strain on my hernia surgery area. So far so good.
8/2- Hernia surgery
I only took two days off of work after the surgery and headed back the following Monday.
7/26- Upper Accessory (Chest and Back)
I'm still behind on my training log, but catching up gives me something to post while I'm recovering from my hernia surgery.
7/24- Upper Accessory (Back and Bis) and my Pre-Op Stress Test
That is the most dramatic improvement I’ve ever heard of.
7/21- Upper Accessory
Good enough. It’s hard to get a lot in when you know you’re going to be forced to take a couple of weeks off.
7/20- Squats w/video
I’m obviously way behind on my training log again since I’ve had a stress test and hernia surgery since this, but I’ll get to that later.
7/19- Upper Accessory (Back and Bis)
I feel like I'm doing an excessive amount of back and biceps training lately, but until I get my hernia fixed and my low back somehow feels better from my herniated discs I'm kind of limited.
7/17- Upper Accessory (Back and Bis) and Dropping Dead
I had no idea how serious my symptoms were until now.
7/13- Raw Squats w/video
It's probably a good idea for me to alternate raw with my equipped training anyway.
7/12- Upper Pressing Accessory
Post disease diagnoses PR! Haha, I’m jk. I’m not going to start with that.
7/10- Upper Accessory (Back and Bis)
I thought it made sense to incorporate some stability training into our back work as well
7/7- Upper Accessory and “What the Health?”
Do what’s best for you, but take the time to think about where what you’re eating came from.
7/5- Raw Bench
I'm still having a decent amount of joint pain due to inflammation, but it seems to gradually be getting better.
6/26- More upper accessory
As long as I still have the autoimmune joint pain and now have a hernia I may not be able to lift as heavy, but I'm going to do my best to maintain.
6/20- Raw Bench
I really need to keep working on incorporating more cardio. I just don't like it at all.
6/19- Deadlift Accessory
Since it appears that I have an inguinal hernia I thought it made sense to avoid deadlifting for now.
6/16- Upper Accessory
I’m honestly not sure how much benefit I’m getting out of the lighter, high rep and stability work,
