Brian Schwab has the all-time highest equipped total of 1930 lbs in the 148-lb class and the fourth highest total of 2045 in the 165-lb class. Brian also competed raw (without wraps) with best totals of 1377 @148 and 1471 @ 165, as well as single ply, with a best total of 1736 @165. Brian has his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida and has his CSCS through the NSCA. He has owned and operated Orlando Barbell, a 24-hour gym that caters to Powerlifters, since 2005. Brian designed and sells the Home GHR (a floor based GHR in which the user can incorporate a push up for assistance), the OBB Power Handles (which attach to the bar for squatting to reduce shoulder stress as well as to perform numerous other exercises) and the Powerloop (which is used on the wrists to help with scapular retraction and the cue to “spread the bar” while benching). Brian also provides online coaching, primarily for non-competitive lifters looking to safely increase their strength while incorporating the powerlifts. He can be reached at Brian@OrlandoBarbell.com
