For all those who say I’m a negative Nelly. First, welcome to the world of business ownership. You live in the unexpected and need always to be ready. The unexpected happens far more than the expected.

Anyhow,

Here are five tips for success:

Alarm Clock

1. Show up - ya, you need to show up. If you work at a job or remote, you do have to put in the time. If you work for yourself expect the time you work to be a min 1.5x any staff and 2-2.5x the emotional bandwidth.

2. Do the work - yep, you have to do the work. That means starting and getting shit done to the extent that something needs executed every day.

3. Take responsibility - believe it or not, your excuses don’t mean shit to the bottom line. I’ll take the person who says “I dropped the ball” every day over the one who says “I knocked it out of the park.” The first case shows responsibility while the takes it from others.

4. Become more educated and competent. What you know today has value but if that doesn’t increase over time your value is significantly less compared to others.

5. Produce results that matter. You can do all of the above at the highest level, but if it doesn’t have any correspondence to the overreaching goal, it’s insignificant.

If you just do this shit ,almost, all the time you won’t need to invest in some mastermind group or spend hours on end absorbing motivational business garbage.
