A picture from 1998 from Westside Barbell. I spy THREE things in this picture that have been marked as “new” by several "GURUs" over the past several years. ⁣

Band Neck Work - used it all the time and I still use it today, as I am sure Louie does as well.⁣

Band around belt; we would do this for entire training sessions or sled drags, speed work with box squats with bands on the bar and on the belt, neck work, ab work, anything you could think of. Did do that much and began to create knee and back issues, so it was ditched after half a year or so. Use in short spurts and make sure it’s not smashing hip bursa.⁣

Chain suspended - good morning. They came in and never went away. This one dates way back to Paul Anderson. ⁣

I would also bet that bar is still tied across the top of the Power Rack at Westside today.⁣
