Monster Garage Gym/Maroscher Coaching Log: (Log number LXXXIX). SQUATTERDAY AT THE GYM
*NEW MGG COACHING LOG POSTED HERE EVERY WEEKEND!!!!
________________________________________
On this Saturday at the MGG we have two lifters prepping for their world (IPF and WPC) powerlifting championship, some other lifters in meet prep for a local meet, some others are lifting for gym p.r.’s and others lifting just to chase the demons out of their head.
Also what comes with the Saturday crew is diversity. Some lifters have 30+ years of powerlifting experience and competitions under their squat belt, others 3 years, and some just 3 months. Additionally, there are lifters following just about every program one can imagine and the range on this day is RAW/RAW through multi-ply. In powerlifting, there is more than just one way to skin a cat.

Regardless of the reason behind the lifter’s training on this day, and regardless of the level of seasoning each lifter carries within themselves, the one constant on this date is each lifter is supporting the other lifters as well as focusing on keeping them safe through good spotting. This, spotting, will be the focus of our next article as there is spotting, then there is SPOTTING.
Work as a team, train as a team, compete as a team.....become victorious as a team. If you are at a gym and there is no team, my personal recommendation is, create one. "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead
Ever Onward and good luck in your training. Eric Maroscher
