I made the mistake of asking my two assistants if I should Deadlift with the Trap Bar or Straight Bar (they were in getting their desks squared away before they leave for June). Tony told me to be a man and Deadlift with the straight Bar. This is undoubtedly spurred by the fact that I tell him to be a man and pull conventional. Not that sumo BS.
So...
Tuesday Training
- Deadlift: 285x5
- Pull-ups: 5x5
- FBB Bench: 85x5/95x5/105x5/125x5
- KB Row: 5x10
- FBB FSL: 4x5@85 then a Rest/Pause set of 20.
- BB Shrugs: 2x25
- Neck: 2x20
- DB Curls: 3x10
Surprisingly, the Deadlift felt very good. I can tell I haven't used a Straight Bar in years because I had a little trouble holding it when it got heavier. Hands are getting weak because the Trap Bar is easy. I'll have to use straps from now on.
Benching felt good. the 125 felt great (as it should). The damn left arm still drags a little, but it continues to improve. The shoulder is a day to day thing. There's an MRI in my future, but I'll delay it for as many years as possible.
All in all, another great workout.
