Block 11, Wave 3 - Competition Preparation

In what I think will be my last training day for the week before competing on Sunday, I stopped by the Unit, loaded up my truck, and headed to Iron Strong CF to throw some things.

Weight Over Bar (sans bar)

4ea x 28

3ea x 56

Technique/timing is getting a little better, but I was not quite as explosive as I would have liked today.  Still feeling good for this weekend.

Keg Toss

This was a giant bag of nope.  My plan was to empty the remnants of gross, over a year old beer from the keg and throw it.  I safely depressurized it, but then realized I had not brought the tool I needed to pop out the ring to allow me to pour out the beer.  I threw this thing once and stopped because the liquid sloshing around combined with the extra weight was definitely going to do more harm than good.

Braemar Stone

4ea x 24

Throws with the right arm were 23', 23', 25', 24'.  Throws with the left arm were 20', 20', 23', 22'.  The third throw on each arm felt the best, which is always good since it was the best.  This is going to be the tie breaker event this weekend, should the need arise.  I kind of suck at it, but at least I think I can manage not to eject myself from the trig violently on each throw like I did in November.

Prowler

10x100' x prowler + 90
