I've decided to go back to my Metal Ace squat suit instead of the Metal Canvas. I like the canvas suit a lot but I struggle with the groove with briefs under it and depending on which meet I decide on I don't really have time to keep messing with it. I've used the Metal Ace suit for years and I'm very confident and comfortable in it. Todays training is to work up to a heavy single and then an overload with reverse bands. Here is how it went...

Squats - Metal Ace briefs under Metal Ace squat suit.

worked up to 903 for a single. Warmed up as I would in a meet making only plate jumps and doing only singles after 400. Used kilo plates

960 for a single with reverse light bands. Bands were set with zero tension at the top.

Deadlifts off 1 block

worked up to 585 for a single

hypers

2 sets of 20 reps

band good mornings - used an average band

2 sets of 20 reps

Squats felt good and while not real quick moved well. That was the heaviest squat I've done that would have been good for a meet. Deadlifts were slow but my form held.
