Since last week I had a few grinder reps on my main bench work, I decided to drop back on the weight and increase the volume for the next few weeks. I should be building up my base right now since I'm not planning on competing until December. Now isn't the time to be grinding out sets.
I decided to drop back to 185lbs and keep my working sets at eight reps and finished off with an amrap. Overall I felt much better during this session, and I'll continue the trend for the next few weeks.
