My wife and I just spend a week in Las Vegas. It was such a great trip and we had so much fun. We have two beautiful girls, 4 years old and 1 year old, it was our first trip just the two of us since we've had kids and it we definitely missed the girls but it was so much fun. We stayed at the Vdara, which was great and we'd recommend to anyone. They have a fitness center that I went to for a half hour of upper body before heading to the pool. If you actually want to train you'll definitely have to go somewhere else. I've definitely been spoiled owning my own facility, The Strength Lab, which is fully outfitted for powerlifting, and training at Elitefts on the weekends.
I didn't train at all this week, which was perfect timing. I've mentioned some upper body issues, from tendonitis, to a strained pec, so a week off was great. When I got back I had another deep tissue massage done, so hopefully I am ready to jump back in to training!
I am competing in an RPS meet at Rivercity Barbell in Newport Ky in September, so this week off was perfect before I really start to ramp up my training for September. It will be my fist full power meet in a year, (I've done 2 DL only meets since), so I am really hoping to hit some PR's.
