Well, today was one of those days that just sucked. I was planning on pulling 585 vs bands, which I thought wouldn't be a problem. I was struggling energy wise through the whole workout, If I wasn't 5 weeks out from the Arnold Deadlift Bash I'd probably have shut it down sooner. Long story short, I didn't get it.

My plan after that was to take a few sub maximal singles in my suit with my straps on loose. I hit 585 and 635 no problem. Despite feeling terrible I went 675 and it got away from my shins so I just gave up on it. I will head up to Elitefts on Saturday to try to get a little help from some of the equipped guys on Saturday.

Vs 2 Elitefts Average bands: 135x 2 , 225 x 2, 315 x 2 365 x 1 405 x 1 455 x 1 495 x 1 545 x 1 585 miss - not even close

Metal Jack Deadlift suit on. - More to just spend time in the suit and get remotely comfortable with it. 585 x1 - Straps down. Easy after I pulled the legs of the suit up a little bit to be less restrictive. 635 x 1 - Straps up, but loose. Easy enough. I know I am not using the suit any where near as effective as it could be but I feel pretty strong right now so if I can get 20 lbs out of it I will be happy considering I have such a short time to get used to it. 675 - Tightened the straps up a little bit. The bar got away from my on my initial pull and I gave up on it there. I'm sure I could have corrected and got the lift, but no point right now, especially as rough as I was feeling.

I made sure to get a little more sleep and do a better job nutrition wise today. I am going to get a massage in the next couple days, I'm fortunate enough to have a guy who specializes in deep tissue/ sports massage who trains at my gym. He is brutal, but I instantly feel better after working with him.

Training my deadlift more frequently I need to make sure I focus a lot more on recovery than if I were training normally for a full meet.
