This was a full range shirted bench day, and My goal was to find a sensible opener for the meet in May.

My bench has been the slowest lift to come around since losing the weight, but I keep reminding myself that the key here is to be patient, and focus on putting quality training sessions together, and let everything come together in time.

Here's how it went:

bar x a bunch

95 x 5

135 x 5

185 x 1

245 (put hundreds on because we were short on plates) x 1

295 x 1

335 x 1

Put shirt on

425 - 3 board

515 - 2 board

565 - 1 board

605 - touch

The 605 felt good, not great. I've been playing around wth different ways of wearing the shirt, so most of these shirt days are somewhat experimental. This time, I creased the sleeves behind the triceps, just a little higher than I have been. my form was better and it touched easily, but the weight was just a little harder than with the old set-up.

I'm confident that 600 will be a sensible opener with this set-up. If I need more support, I can always set the crease lower, but after today, I don't think that will be necessary. I'd rather have a little less support, but be better able to use my technique to execute the lift.

Finished with 10 sets of 10 on the low row machine

4 sets of 15 on the dip machine

4 sets of 15 dumbbell shoulder raises and 4 sets of 15 triceps extensions.
