Besides my last heavy deadlift session on Wednesday every other training session will be pretty moderate. My only plan going in to this workout was to feel better leaving than I did at the start of it.

Warmup: I spend the first 10 or so minutes rolling an a lacrosse ball and foam rolling. Bar x 10 1 plate x 10 2 plate x 5 3 plates x 3 4 plates x 2 465 x 1 505 x 1

Nothing crazy, but I felt pretty good through the entire squat session. After that I hit 3x10 cable pull throughs and 3 x 10 hanging leg raises.

I train with a couple of High school guys who are training for the Ohio High School State Championship meet. It is an unsanctioned meet, but a pretty cool concept. Last year this meet at Kenton HS had over 400 lifters. It's pretty awesome to see powerlifting popular with HS athletes.

Both of those guys ended up hitting PR's and had more in the tank. Hunter, who lifts at 165, hit 485. Jack hit 400 for a nice PR and will definitely hit more than that in the HS state meet. Preslee, who I wish would do the HS championship meet, but is a track athlete hit a very easy 255 lb squat at approx 120 bodyweight. Cooper, who is still rehabbing an upper body injury from football season hit a very easy 505. He won't be able to compete this year, but I'd imagine next year he will have a very good chance at winning.

We have a ton of good young athletes who train at my gym and even with vary rarely putting them under maximal loads some very, very strong young athletes. I'm looking forward to seeing where they end up at the meet on March 18.
