I get questions all the time in the gym about various pieces of equipment and straps and bars that we have and how to use them.
I figured this would make a GREAT Coaching Log series to educate you. Especially on straps, bars and cable attachments. I’m probably not going to include bands (except for mobility) because there is a ton of awesome information out there already.

There will be a lot of Spud Inc equipment in this series for a few reasons:

    • 1. It’s awesome and incredibly versatile and useful
    • 2. It’s Made In USA
    • 3. A lot of people simply have no idea what to do with them
    • 4. Spud is my BFF, so………
    • 5. He makes about a million different straps and you need to know how to use them.

Let’s start today with one of his original and most versatile straps, the Long Ab Strap.

Spud made the Long Ab Strap many moons ago and it may be his most popular strap.
He updated it with the new Kaiju material and made it even better. This new material is softer, more pliable and just as durable.

*On that note, I’ve got Spud Inc straps that are older than some of you and they are still working lie new.*

The Long Ab Strap was made to do Pulldown Abs, a staple in Powerlifting but it is so much more useful.

It’s my favorite strap because it is so versatile.

It’s ideal for:

  • All sorts of tricep work
  • Face Pulls
  • Cable Rows
  • Curls
  • Sled Rows & Drags
  • Pullthroughs
  • Whatever your imagination can come up with.

Today, I’ll give you a video with a few exercises done with the Long Ab Strap that you either haven’t seen or may have forgotten about.
They’re Awesome.

I hope you liked the video and I hope you like the series!
Drop a comment if you have a piece of equipment in mind that you’d like to see more exercises for.
