John competed in NPC Team Universe in Teaneck, New Jersey, where he won his IFBB Pro Card.
His transgression through all of the obstacles that have stood in his path have made him an iconic character in the bodybuilding community. He has motivated an entire generation of aspiring bodybuilders to be the best they can be. It is not a stretch to say the entire community was on John's side this weekend and all elated for him when hearing his name called.
