Pulled singles vs light bands today. Getting ready for the 21 deadlift salute at the Arnold Classic the fist week of March. I had a back issue a month or so ago and wasn't sure if I was going to compete, but I'm starting to feel better after some deep tissue work.
Warmup 15-20 min mobility work. 2 x10 straight leg deadlift, 2 x 10 sumo deadlift
Working Sets, All vs elitefts light bands: 135x2 225x2 315x1 365x1 405x1 455x1 495x1 545x1
Metal Jack Suit on, Straps Down: 545x1 585x1
Everything felt great and moved well. This was the heaviest I've pulled since my back issue, so I was pretty nervous, but everything felt good.
Glute Ham Raise vs Monster Mini band 5x8
Hammer Strength Hamstring Curl 5x20
My hamstrings were smoked. I know I need to hit them harder if I want to hit a big deadlift in March.
