I’m currently in meet prep for the 2016 APF Illinois State Meet, in Sycamore, Illinois. I will be competing at 148 pounds, raw (without wraps). At this meet I will just be taking token lifts to qualify for APF Equipped Nationals which is in Orlando, Florida where I will be competing at 132 pounds, raw with knee wraps. As such, the bigger picture is to prep for this meet, and obtain a top three placing to qualify for WPC Worlds in November.

After Tuesday's brutal training session, I was back in the rec getting some extra work done...I know, probably dumb. I actually felt pretty decent after Tuesday, I was more CNS fatigued than actually sore, so I decided to press on and just get in some good muscular work done. The hack squat machine along about killed me, but the great thing was that my time under tension was huge for this session, and it actually helped me feel a bit better by getting so much more blood flow going. Getting good rest and nutrition is paramount for me to make it through these, that's for damn sure.

Items Used in this Training Session

A1) Horizontal Hack Squat Machine 10x10 in under 10 minutes - the leg pump was unreal, and I was left on the floor for a good 5 minutes

B1) Single Leg Hack Squat Machine Good Morning 5x15 per leg

C1) Leg Extensions 100 total reps

D1) GHH/Back Extension 3 sets, max reps - really focusing on the stretch and glute squeeze
