Last Monday was my final shirt workout before the meet. The plan was to work up on a one-board, and since it was my last shirt day, I wanted to his something stupid-heavy.

Took a bunch with the bar, then went:

135 x a million

185 x 5

225 x 1

275 x 1

315 x 1

Put shirt on

405 - 3 board

495 - 2 board

585 - 1 board

Stayed on the 1 board from here on out

635 x 1

675 x 1

705 x 1

This felt good, really good.

It by no means indicates I'm capable of this weight full range, but it does mean that I'm a hell of a lot stronger in my shirt than I was a couple of months ago.

My arms and shoulders are always a mess after handling this kind of weight in the shirt, so I didn't do a ton of assistance work. I did do some static holds with the fat grips to build my deadlift grip, a few sets on the pullover machine, and some triceps rope pushdowns.
