I always take my bench opener exactly one week before competition. Well some friends were in town on Friday night and wanted to grab "a beer or two". We all know that one or two beers turns into 10 shots of Jameson which isn't exactly condusive to maximal strength. I figured if I could hit my bench opener dehydrated and half in the bag the next morning, then I knew it'd be cake on meet day. Sometimes you just need to test your body :D
