Last night I was thinking it might be fun to get up at 6 am to go to the gym and be on the other end of one of my kettlebell classes. Worst Idea ever.

Kettlebell fitness is different, different than my sport training, different than my powerlifting and off course anything different you aren't used to can fry you quick.

I learned 3 things today:

1) I'm unconditioned

2) I'm unconditioned for an hour class

3) I'm unconditioned for an hour class using heavy kettlebells

This Instructor was really chincy on the breaks, I don't know who taught him but I would like to slap them ( slapping myself right now)

Ok, too many things to lay out, pace was way too fast for what I was hoping to get out of the class. I was hoping for shorter sets where I could get in some of my own sport training. No luck so I endured what I could and sat out the rest. Some moves I just avoided, I am 1 week away from starting a 12 week powerlifting program and I quite simply do not want an injury.

Here are a few video's so you get the gist of what an hour kettlebell fitness class looks like.

Kudos to the class for surviving, lots of sweat today, if nothing else it was nice to see everyone again. Back to the Mancave tomorrow for some heavy training where I'm more comfortable !
