So while I wasn't running around Carrera Setenta of Medellin (the best street in the city in my opinion), I managed to get in a few creative workout sessions to try and maintain some athleticism. I didn't wanna end up looking like one of the Fernando Botero sculptures when I got back to the U.S....

Medellin

So what did I do?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I brought a jump rope and a bunch of EliteFTS resistance bands with me. I figured I'd be able to throw together some quick and challenging workouts, to keep me: 1) sane, 2) happy, 3) in the right mindset for when I got back to regular training/ post vacation.

One of the workouts I really enjoyed was as follows [Done on the roof top patio of one of the hotels-- I did this particular workout twice during the vacation]:

3/12 & 3/15 Workout

Warm Up-- 200 regular jumps w/speed rope

Circuit-- 100 jumps (25 regular, 25 alternating feet, 25 side to side, 25 cross overs and/or double unders for fun)

3 point Push-ups x 10

Step-Ups on stairs for Hot-Tub x 15 each leg

Rows w/ average band x15

Lateral Raises w/mini bands x 20

This was done 3-4 times through, keeping rest between Rounds at ~1-2 minutes, and rest between exercises at ~30 seconds.
