Sunday was another max effort day, and the exercise was a Cambered bar box squat with an average band. Since the sleeves on the cambered bar are lower, we placed a 55lb. bumper plate on first, then hung the band over the plate so it would give us more resistance.

I haven't used bands in a long time, so I was looking forward to this and dreading it at the same time.

Started with the bar and went up as follows,

160 x 5

Added band

160 x 1

250 x 1

300 x 1

340 x 1

For some reason, 340 and everything after felt like a million pounds. Most likely a combination of my not feeling great (was inexplicably down a couple of pounds) and the long layoff from band work.

390 x 1

430 x 1

480 x 1

520 x 1

570 x 1

I didn't have a pr for this movement, but I was surprised at how high I got given how heavy the bands felt. I was also pretty shot after this and not feeling well, so I did a few quick sets of back extensions and pulldown abs and called it for the day.

Need more top-end work!
