The last four years of my lifting career my programming has ran through 5/3/1, a basic concurrent template, and six-isa cycles of Triphasic Training with each cycle evolving becoming better for the application of powerlifting. Post my last meet I decided to try different style's of training, as some of you know if you have seen my videos, I am a big advocate for someone else controlling one's programming weather that be training or nutrition. My new training has lot's of volume, at least way more than I am used to. I felt like I was being tested today looking at my program with the exercise prescription 500-525 x 8. My eye's left my skull and through the paper but I was determined to finish a minimum of 500lbs for eight.

I amped myself up, took a couple of good hit's from "INHALE" and walked up to the bar with tears rolling down my eyes. Rep's one through three were the easiest but the second I had to re-breath this set got gnarly. The video show's petty consistent squat's but each one felt a little different from the last, I kept feeling one or two things breaking down each rep due to fatigue and focusing on holding my breath and my brace. All in all it was a great squat day and a completed challenge that left me winded for 15 min and never wanting to do it again.
