After a fairly long hiatus from strongman, I decided to get back in there and compete. I cannot really remember the last strongman competition I did but over the past couple of months I have redefined myself as an athlete and started back to event training. I am pleased with my progress and continue to adapt to my recent rather large weight loss. My next competition is United States Strongman Nationals on June 11, 2016 in Kentucky. Rolling/Mobility

I cut these pretty short. It seems like this area is always one of the first to get cut but remains one of the most important to my performance. My knee is pretty swollen again and feeling some strain. I need to address this.

10" Log

Dani, one of my training partners, dropped off her 10" log for me to test out. Mine is closer to 9" and I have been struggling with the clean and properly positioning the log. Her true 10" felt really good and helped soothe any concerns I had about where I was with my technique. I just did some light sets to get a feel.

Block Pulls

380, 3x5

At this point I was super late and jetted out. The good news is my DL feels good which is long overdue.

Jetted out to try to get to work on time.
