Deadlifts are my favourite of the "Big 3", my P.R. and world record is 440 Lbs, conventional style. My Ultimate goal is to deadlift 500 lbs.

So Dr's orders, I am only allowed to lift up too 1/2 the weights I can normally lift for the next 3 months so I will be working up to that, however it will be hard to stay there as I know I am way strongher than that but I must be smart and not re-injure my shoulder.

Today I was Living, Learning, Passing On, helping one of my friends and Kettlebell clients with her squat. She has always had a difficulty getting low in her squat and her knees always came forward. Today I put her on the belt squat machine, what a great training tool this piece of equipment is. Kelly made great progress on this machine, I recommend teaching the proper squat mechanics on this beast!

GHR W/U x 20

Belt Squats

4 Plates 10/10

4 Plates Sumo Stance 10/10

6 Plates 10/10

4 Plate Burn out set x 25

Trap Bar Dead Lifts

160 Lbs x 7

210 Lbs 5/5 (This felt so easy, I could have gone way heavier but I'm not allowed yet, first time pulling I will take it, slow and steady wins the race)

Lat Pull Downs (I am doing these every session, working my ROM)

60 Lbs x 10

75 Lbs x 10/10

Back Ext With Kettlebells 2 x 26 lbs x 10/10

My training has been feeling great this week, so happy to be pain free again. Excited for the day I can get under a straight bar to squat again, that ROM isn't quite there yet but I'm working on it.

So today along with my training I helped a friend, that is what team Elitefts does, we Live, Learn, Pass On.
