1 Week Out from XPC Finals (elite day) @ The Arnold Classic

First off, I wanted to say thank you to those that left some encouragement after my last post discussing some frustrations I've had recently - While I definitely know that things could be worse and I have a lot of positive things going on, it is helpful for me to put those thoughts down occasionally to (a) hopefully encourage others who may be dealing with similar issues that they aren't alone, and (b) treat it as a sort of journal entry I can look back on later as I move through training and life.

Today was my last time with a bar on my back before the meet next weekend; and I tried to treat the weight (455lbs) like it was 755 and be as aggressive as possible. I did several singles, then some light blood flow work and called it a day. I'll do another few days of light stuff to move around but the majority of what I'll be doing the next 7 days is getting some much needed rest. All I can focus on is giving absolutely 100% next Friday on the platform, and block out everything else.

In addition to competing myself, I'm really excited about the new additions to Team EliteFTS: Zach Gallmann, Mario D'Amico, and Christian Anto. These are 3 guys that I've known and respected for the past several years, and there is no one I can think of that's more deserving for the opportunity. Every day I'm blown away that I'm fortunate enough to represent elitefts and call people like these guys Teammates. I'll be excited to compete with Mario on Friday, and his constant progress always lights a fire under my ass to keep getting better. Congrats guys, it's very well deserved.
