I am waiting for the ball to drop but so far so good.  Everything is spot on and running like it should.

A LITTLE bit of "old-man itis" the last couple of weeks but this week it had dissipated to the point that I had actually forgotten about it so that is great because that rarely happens.  Typically, I have it for a while.

The last 2 weeks took me from 221.5 to 215 currently and I could still drop into the weekend before I finally Skipload on Sunday after not loading the last 2 weekends.  I haven't skipped a Skipload in years but while on this fat burner, it was essential.

I did not have as much loss of strength in the gym this week as last week and I was able to get pretty good pumps compared to last week.  I could still feel the fat burner but nothing like the first week where it had more of an impact on my training.  I stopped it mid-week and already have felt the difference in the gym as I feel fuller and a better pump  - and that is after dropping the added carbs I was using while on the fat burner.

I anticipate training to pick up a little bit with intensity next week as my strength goes back up after being done with the fat burner and after Skiploading.  I plan to step it up a notch.

First time doing front squats in probably over 10 years this week.  Not sure why I haven't come back to this exercise sooner especially with the limitations I have for leg training due to my back issues.  This movement felt great though I struggled to keep the bar rolled back so that the pins would be out of the way.  I will likely have to turn around in the smith and face the other direction to get it to work so that I can go heavier.  Even though I wasn't able to go very heavy, my quads are trashed.  I plan to keep this movement in my leg training consistently moving forward.

It's funny how it works, too, because a lot of equipment is broken at my gym right now and because the hack squat broke I was forced to look for a new movement.  Had that not happened I likely would have had no reason to take a closer look at front squats.  It is a reminder that we need to always continue to look outside the box and be open to different things even when equipment isn't broken.  🙂

I thought I would be ravenous by now after not Skiploading for almost 3 weeks but the hunger is manageable despite the great loss of body fat over the last 2 weeks.  I do need to hit it pretty hard this week to fill back out but I will be sure to not make myself miserable, either, and be watchful of distention because my waist has come down considerably simply from not eating the larger volume of food once a week.  It's a catch 22 because the food works to boost metabolism and yet if you are prone to distention you need to be careful with large amounts of food eaten at one time.  It's a balancing act.

And as important as that all is, my bike is almost done so I am going to go check it out tomorrow and it should be done completely next week sometime - you know - just in time for the unseasonably warm weather to be over and the winter temps to kick back in.  *sigh*  Go figure.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
