I would love to post something REALLY exciting that happened this week in the gym but ... I can't. It was the mundane, basically. However, I have no complaints because I love the Holidays and even more so this year with clients/friends in town again from South Africa and because of the start of a prep phase for the first time in 5 years.
So, instead of talking training I figured I would talk about how most people are stressed about the holidays and I'm just over here relaxing and getting loose ends tied up before the beginning of the year. It's typically stressful for people at this time due to everything that comes along with the holidays but I am finding a ton of loose ends that I want tied up before prep starts and the first of the year rolls around.
I got a break in the weather just long enough to drain my hot tub and refill so that it is good for the rest of the winter. That might not seem important but trust me, it is to myself and Mrs. Skip during the week to sit in it and decompress before going to bed.
All of the plans are in place for the prep so most of you know how much goes into the planning of that.
Christmas shopping has been done for a while so no stressing about that.
All of my ducks are in a row for both businesses and no writing deadlines this week.
All parts are delivered to the bike shop and all I have to do now is sit back and wait for them to finish the bike. It looks like middle of January but if it takes another week or two, I can't ride, anyway, due to the weather.
Tax info for 2016 is sitting here ready to go to the accountant.
Podcast is up and running and I am glad to be back doing a show.
We have no family here in Colorado and we don't travel for the holidays. It is much more relaxing to just sit here and relax with friends.
I hope you all have a great Christmas unless you are a Jew, a Muslim or a black guy. In that case, Happy Jew week, Happy Muslim time and Happy Kwanza. I'm an atheist so Happy pagan holiday to me.
