I missed a bunch of pressing this year. Actually I missed a ton of everything this year. My arthritis has been on an entirely new level for most of this year and I think about Week 8 of me not being able to close my hands was the point where I started jabbing myself with cortisone. You know what happenned in less than 24 hours? I could move my hands, my appetite went up, I was no longer exhausted, my mental attitude improved, and I felt like a human being again. So...I'm sticking with it!
But I missed so much pressing that I could barely press my way out of a paper bag and I've been adding a pound here or there each week ever since...and it is slowly growing.
Tons of shoulder therapy work and low back rows.
As many side laterals as it took to set my delts on fire without flaring up my traps. This is important for us older athletes.
