Via my Instagram AMA's that I've started on Thursdays every week, I had a great question asking if I used single or multi-ply gear in my training, for Strongman, and why.

I prefer multi-ply for a few reasons.
1) I think that it is, in general, better built and provides more BANG. I can't imagine spending money and not getting something that gives me the most benefit possible.

2) I think that the multi-ply gear will last you longer and will wear out slower.

3) I can get loose multi-ply gear on myself and get more out of it than single-ply gear that I can get on myself.

I do, however, love the M-Type briefs! They provide a good amount of support (nowhere near my ACE Pro Briefs) and they don't naturally want to turn my legs outwards, which means that I can wear them on heavy Super Yoke runs, Farmers, Frame Carry, etc...without them changing my walking pattern while still providing some support through my hip joints and IT Bands!

Your best bet is to buy one of everything and try it out...then sell it to your friends!
