Instead of taking a deload or time off, I went right back to training. My body was feeling good and I hit all of my attempts at the Throwdown. I just didn't hit all of them up to par for white lights.
It definitely took it's toll on me and I was feeling every rep. Everything felt heavy. By the end of the week, I couldn't turn my head to the left. I did some self gratification with the foam roller and managed to keep myself together to train. I just feel like I am 8 weeks out.
I don't plan deloads because life gives them to us. It's "that time of the year" and I had to take away training time for holiday and family engagements this weekend. I'm grateful I pushed hard during this week so I could enjoy the forced rest I had this weekend.
The month of December is always crazy for everyone for one reason or another. No excuse not to work. I'm grateful I was busy spending time with people I care about and love. What a gift. The rest helped. I can turn my head. Back for battle on Monday.
