I met yesterday with the powers that be in my athletic department. For the first time we had serious discussions on what our protocol will be for dealing with the bad cold that seems to have everyone in a panic...
Regardless of my opinion on this stupidity, there seems to be a light at the end of my tunnel. No "final decision" has been made, but there is a date that is out there for us. On top of that, I got some kind of update from some organization that "matters". I think it was the FCA? As we can all figure out, if Power 5 football doesn't happen this year the NCAA is in trouble. So, in my not so humble opinion, college football will happen because it has to.
Based on what the "experts" are saying and what we need to do to cover our asses, we have a plan on paper. Undoubtedly, it will change and be updated as we start the process, but it is in place. To me, we're in a better spot than we were at this time last week.
I'm not getting too excited about it until it actually happens, but I can't help it. I have missed being around the athletes. They bring me an energy that I just don't get elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my free time, but it's time to get back to work.
Once I get an exact date of return I'll try to remember to post what we'll be doing.
