It's been a while since I've updated my log and that's because I've been sick for the last two weeks. Depending on how bad you are sick will determine if you should train or not. I get asked this question a lot what should I do if I am sick? The answer is it depends on where you are in training but most of the time the correct answer will always be, just take some time off. You do this for two reasons, the first is you don't want to be that asshole who shows up to the gym and gets everyone else sick. The second reason is when you get sick your body is already fighting like hell to get rid of the sickness, the stress so to speak and if you go and train you are shifting your bodies ability to overcome one stress for another and the result is your sickness lasts longer and your training sessions are typically trash. So it is counterproductive any way you look at it. Now that I am finally feeling better the goal is to ease back into training and to put the weight back on that I lost while I was sick. You want to ease back into training because your body will be more susceptible to injury because fatigue is a lot higher after being sick. Not the ideal situation to be in when you have a meet right around the corner but you can only play the hand you are dealt. Focus on what is in your control and let go of what is out of it.
