I got away with eating like shit for 10 days and didn't start looking like shit until about 2 days ago. There is nothing better than taking a vacation, eating whatever you want and looking damn good for the large majority of your vacation.
Plus, I was riding motorcycles all over Colorado so I now look like a charcoal briquette - darker than I have been in a while and remember: brown fat looks way better than white fat.
While I enjoyed eating like a glutton this last week and doing some of the most beautiful riding I have ever done, the guy that is editing the training footage for the TRTbodybuilding/Longevity2 DVD was working his ass off and has almost all 3 training sessions edited. I should get to look at them as early as the next couple of days and then start the voice over that I do to explain what is going on in the training footage. We are on track for finishing this project in late September or October as planned. Excited much? Yes, I am.
I haven't taken a week off of training since probably late January. I did manage a few off days around the time we moved into the new house in March but not a complete week that I can recall. My knees are going to love the week off and my back likely will, as well. However, my back was pretty beaten up last week because I rode my buddy's big wheel bagger and his bars are pretty far forward. Over 1600 miles later I was kind of tight the latter part of the week in my lower back.
I am looking forward to getting back to the gym tomorrow. I still need to find a new gym as I hate mine but I will get that figured out in a week or two. First, I have a client coming into town on Wednesday and we have the Denver Burger Battle to take care of on Thursday. 15 of the best burgers in Denver battle for the title of of Best Burger 2016 and my wife and I being connoisseurs of fine burgers, this is like Christmas to me.
THEN it will be back to the mundane life of Skip. It was fun while it lasted, though.
