For the last few weeks my back has been hurting and it is running through my glutes and hams. I've tried to deadlift but as soon as I put pressure on my hip and glute, it yells at me and almost goes numb. My old school work around is to go to Stiff Legged Deadlifts (not straight, stiff, maintain some bend in the knees).
3 sets of 5 is where I'm at now, adding 10 kg per week till I'm at a decent weight!
