I'm at a loss for words.

Atlas Stones are the king event in Strongman. If you can't load stones you have no business thinking that you are at the top of the game. You have to love how they bite you and you have to attack them like no other object in the world. They will bring out the fire in your eyes like few other events. You can't hurt them but they sure as heck can hurt you and leave blood trickling down your arms...

Exactly 3 years ago to the day, I picked up this 365 lbs Atlas Stone and on the way up I heard my bicep pop...and that was it. My plan was to rehab it just like I had in the past but chemotherapy just continued to make barrier after barrier more difficult to overcome.

It's not like I'm not naturally good at stones. My first time ever touching a stone was in a contest and I loaded a 300 lb stone as my 4th stone. Within a couple weeks I'd loaded a 375. I've loaded a 500 lb stone some 10+ years ago and I've loaded a 455-460 in competition. But for 3 years I've stared at this stone and it has had my number. I could pick it up off the ground like a beach ball for reps but could not load it...

Till Sunday.

I don't know if God was looking down upon me and just decided that I needed to be given SOMETHING on this day or if it is a true turning point in my training again, but I loaded it. AND IT MEANT A LOT to me.
