This week for our Powerlifting is a start towards the meet July 8th . Monday they hit heavy safety bar squats with band tension being between 350-450lbs +\-. We had a great crew with 4-275lb lifter pushing each other and a few other bigger guys 220+ hitting it. After that squats some rep work and hamstring movements were done. We have a group of (3) females who are sitting out of the meet July 8th hitting a different routine with a lot of focus on building some muscle and doing extra conditioning to help get them leaner and stronger. They are doing great and the feedback has been great.
Tuesday the crew hit some tempo controlled 1/3 with a pause lighter weight as the main lift. After that some shoulder/back/ secondary movements were done to get some blood flow and build some muscle. Most will be off tomorow with a couple exceptions that need to make up due to work schedule.
As far as for myself I have been swamped havubg more classes and more clients as a lot are getting off for the summer and coming back to the area on college break. I have been trying to do what I can while not getting anymore sick and worse off. Working out at this point sucks. I cannot do much as everything is tough and am scared to further hurt myself. I had a procedure couple weeks ago and that let to another procedure last week. Let me say this hospitals suck and everything to do with them do as well.
Switching gears for the summer I get to work with some of my friends at some big colleges and stay with them and catch up. Really look forward to seeing these guys and hanging.
