I competed in NPC Junior Nationals on June 12-13. I came in with a much bigger and leaner package than years past. Since July we have slowly transitioned from a bodybuilding split to more of a powerlifting/strength focus, while still hitting lots of volume to build mass. Scott Paltos has been doing my programming since March. We've added quite a bit of muscle and are continuing to work some technical things with my raw lifts. Raw meet in early May!!!

Here's the rest of week 6's training.  Monday hit the heavy bench singles, Tuesday hit some lighter box squats, so rounded out the week with some upper accessories and then heavy squat and deadlift work on Saturday.

Thursday- Upper accessory

B. Incline DB press - 3x12

C3. Seated bus drivers
D. Rope pushdowns

Saturday- Squat and Deads
After my pretty solid benches on Monday, I wasn't sure how today was gonna go.  I was a little nervous. Why? I don't know. I mean, I've had 400+ pounds on my back quite a few times over the past 10 years. Sometimes ya just get in your own head. But went into the day with an aggressive attitude and it paid off nicely.
Original plan was to take a heavier reverse band squat after the 300, but decided that 300 looked good and Scott wanted me to be a little fresher for pulling. And that paid off as well too. 300 felt like 225. So that's a good sign.  GREAT day.  Couldn't be more happy with how everything felt and moved. Couple more heavy weeks and then it's go time!
A. Squat - worked up to 265x1 (video), 285x1 (video), 300x1
B. Deadlift - worked up to 250x1, 275x1, 300x1 (video)
C. Lat pulldowns
D. Hammer rows
E. Standing low cable rows
