This week was off for all lifters who competed in Nashville. I am a huge believer in taking a week off after a meet. Here is why. You have trained at high percentages for weeks if not months leading up to the meet. At the meet you are attempting that gray area of percentages you have never attempted or rarely. Taking the week off can also aid in rest mentally as well as physically. It can also give the body some time to allow any injuries or what not show so they can be addressed.
Some of the squad came in and did stuff on their own. We start next mon a 9 week higher rep scheme to pack on some muscle. After that 9 weeks we are hosting the first IPA meet in our area October 22nd.
Pas fsr as for my self I hit some safety bar box squats. The weight is still in my mind light. After that did a couple accessory movements as well.
