I did a little experimenting on Thursday and Saturday getting ready to start my "new" 6 week training cycle to finish out the semester.

Thursday: Bench Experiment

  • FBB Bench: 95x5/105x5/15x5/115x5/95x5 all of this hurt
  • DB Squat: 5x10 w/75lbs
  • Press: 50 reps w/bar
  • Pull-up Experiment: 5x2 no pain at all
  • KB Row: 5x10 w/70lbs

Saturday: Deadlift

  • Trap Bar: worked up to 295x10
  • Pull-up Experiment #2: 5x3 no issues
  • DB Incline: 5x15 w/20's minor pain during movement
  • KB Row: 5x15 w/70lbs

I'm doing neck/traps and biceps at the end of each workout (50-100 reps of each).

Sunday: Conditioning

60 minutes (3 miles) on treadmill while reading the NSCA Study Guide

I'm feeling good (relatively speaking) and I'm looking forward to getting in a solid 6 weeks of training leading up to Festivus and the end of the semester.
