Today our powerlifting squad hit it hard. We focused on rack pulls at a certain height. Our early group did great. Cody and hunter are improving by the day. Kristin is crazy strong hitting almost what she did at her last meet for 8reps! Our 1115am group had Kyle, Aaron, Ryan and a new female lifter. They all did great. Kyle and Aaron both went around 600lbs for reps. Our evening crew also did good. Andrew is on a diff template as he has a meet coming up in a few weeks. Great to see everyone buying in and doing so good.
We are hosting a first annual bbque this sat and am looking to set a meet for about half of our lifters to compete at. The other half we are looking at nov in New Orleans.
One of our coaches Randy just had hip surgery and is doing well. His first surgery was in 2001 and since then they have made drastic improvements since.
For myself I lift 3 times a week and rotate the main compound lifts. On the 2 other days I do small stuff like extra biceps, tricep, calves, abs etc just to catch back up quicker. Always trying to keep my heart rate low as possible and rest between sets.
