#flashbackfriday to one of the most defining moments in my lifting career so far: USPA Nationals 2016. I went into the meet wanting to pull 450lbs. Didn't care about anything else. @gogginsforce told me after my first pull that he didn't see it that day. I was pissed. Second pull was slow, but I still wanted to try at least 440lbs. I didn't want to hear what my COACH had to say. He put in 435lbs...and this was the result. I cried in disappointment after even though my total was a 65lb PR. I let a bad lift ruin an amazing meet. Since then, I've been less stubborn and it has paid off. This week, 1 year later, I pulled that same weight for reps. Just do the work...the reward will come.
