What a crazy week! There has been a lot of emotion with my wife and I just getting pregnant and carrying a baby but on February 4th at 0500 we got up (after "sleep") and headed to the hospital. After a fairly complicated surgery on my wife, Nefi, we welcomed Luke Adam Darden to The World. Yes, I wore an EliteFTS T-Shirt just for good luck.
3.39 KG or 7 lbs 8 OZ in Freedom Units. No idea how tall he is but he is tall, thin, and as every Dr and Nurse has said..he has giant hands and feet! He is taller than the distance between my wife's shoulders to her hips. The moment that they pulled him out I watched him spread eagle every limb on his body as if to say "FINALLY I GET SOME SPACE!!!".
My son and I have spent a lot of time at the hospital with Nefi and Luke and it has nearly worn us completely out. Steven and I left the hospital at midnight last night and my wife grabbed her phone because she said that THIS is "Why Strongman". Because a father has to be able to carry a child, iPad, headphones, 2 blankets, jacket, medicine, etc...completely across a hospital, down the elevator, through doors, across the street and parking lot, open the car door and get the child in the seat belt after midnight without breaking anything...except a sweat.
