It took me a while to put this together, but I wanted it to be put together the way that I wanted it to be. This was a huge trip for me on so many levels. From the preparation, the nerves, the sponsor dropping me 3 weeks out, the flights, being away from my family for the first time ever, to the contest itself. Not to mention how excited that I was with my performance.
It is really important to note that A LOT of people chipped in to make this contest possible for me. If you follow me online, my sponsor dropped out of the game 3 weeks out and my wife took to the fundraising process head first. There were 2 companies that really stepped up to help me and you know who you are. I'd be more than happy to thank them publicly BUT both made it clear to me that they did help me for no other reason than the fact that I needed help and that they could provide it. In fact, one of them stated that at one point in time they had been in the same situation as me and someone stepped up to help them, so this was them paying it forward and one day I should do the same. Neither company wanted to be mentioned by name.
An amazing amount of people sent money to get me there. A lot of people that I've never met before and only know their names online. To each and every person I want to say THANK YOU. I honestly hope that my performance is Thank You enough because if you watch this video you will see that not for one moment did I ever give up...not once.
The support from my family on all sides was amazing. Friends that I consider family came through big to make sure I was good on contest day and The Bicep Nation made sure to get me to Waffle House afterwards and to make sure I was "OK" after the contest and safe health wise.
I just can't say THANK YOU enough...so please have a couple scoops and watch the video from beginning to end.
