I have not done much squatting against band tension over the last 5 or so years. I really don't know why it hasn't been sprinkled in occasionally as I believe it can really help with forcing the lifter to push all the way through to the top of the movement. But it needs to be when used in moderation. But they are going in the cycle now...
Box squats - parallel box - wore Metal Ace briefs - two average bands per side
worked up to 385 for 8 sets of 2 reps
GHR
2 sets of 8 reps holding a 16-pound medicine ball
reverse hypers
5 plates per side for 5 sets of 10 reps
hanging leg raises
3 sets to failure
Bands felt good but the box felt low!
