As far as my powerlifting went 2017 was a bust. Coming off a good meet in the fall of 2016 my strength was solid and I was making nice gains, especially on my squat. I ran one off season training cycle before starting meet prep for an August meet. Unfortunately during a June training session I tore my left tricep tendon.  I gave some thought to taking a token bench for the meet but instead decided it would be best to just get the surgery and look toward the future. The surgery went well and my recover from it has went well too. I'm 19 weeks post surgery and my bench is at about 315. All in all I never got a meet in during 2017 and have taken a couple steps back. My thought for 2018 are to use those couple steps back to gain some momentum and push through to some new pr's. As of now I intend on a late fall or early winter meet in 2018 and will push myself toward have a successful meet then.

Happy New Year to everyone and I wish you all a strong 2018.
