I'm currently training for the 2019 USPA Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. After dropping a couple weight classes, this meet will be second showing at 198 and real return to raw powerlifting after a couple years wearing gear.

1. Box Jumps - ~37", 8 x 1

2. Deadlift  - 585 x 1 x 1. Overall this moved pretty well but technically could use a little work. I lost a little tension at the bottom so the start of the pull looks off.

My pecs are also pretty beat up, had some weird pulling sensation  on both sides during this. Basically, I've accumulated a good bit of fatigue. About right for where I am at in relation to the meet.

3. Deadlift - 3 x 5 @ 525. Lost it on the last set. Grip came loose after rep 3 and I was sure I would rip my hand if I finished the set. I'd rather not tear my hand to pieces, so came and finished the set after a brief break.

4. Goblet Box Squat - 125 x 5 x 5

5. GHR  - BW, 5 x 5

6. Banded Lat Pull Down - Orange band, 3 x 10

7. Stir the pot  - 5 x 10 each way

Still progressing fairly well but my body is a little haggard. When I lost my grip, I got out on front of myself and the rear delt cramped up pretty hard. Still sore this morning. Not actually injured I think, just sore and something to keep an eye on. I'm learning that the longer I do this good competition results are less about being super strong and perfectly peaked and more about making it into a meet with as few nagging problems as possible.
