Who the hell invented deficit deadlifts?

I suck at deadlifting. I suck more and deadlifting further.

I started this session by flipping out at one of the bone head trainers at Shannon's gym. He was deadlifting with Shannon's Weight lifting bar that is designed for WOMEN'S WEIGHTLIFTING. I have had the conversation with this guy before about how the bar is not rated for pulling and dropping 400 lbs. Plus it is only 35 lbs and MADE FOR WOMEN.

He initially thought I was joking. But, After yelling at him to take the fucking weight off the bar, He started to get the point. How much of a pussy are you that you use a women's weightlifting bar because it's smaller and has lots of flex. So, that was my warmup.

Now that my heart is racing and I'm sweating from rage. I got to why I came there. Deficit deadlifts. There was no bars to use in the regular people area, so I went with a low handle trap bar while standing on 2 35lbs plates. The best use for 35 lbs plates.

Deficit Deadlifts

135 x 5 x 3. I couldn't believe how far away the floor was for these. I guess not training for a couple months puts a damper on your mobility.
185 x 3 x 2
225 x 2
275 x 2. The funny part about this set, and the sets that come after I felt like I was getting in great position like this:

It turns out I was more like this:

315 x 1
365 x 1

I stopped there. I could feel a little not happiness in my back. Turns out it was from terrible deadlifting haha.

Back extension in the GHR

3 sets of 10 with a 5 second hold on the last rep of each rep.

Done. I am still tired from the Walking lunges on Saturday August 1st!!
